Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Founder and Scientific Director of Ediens . Over 30 years of research to create evidence-based personalized medicine.
"If I had never created products, we would be talking about pure science now, nothing more. We are trying to make very complex things so that they can be adapted for practical use by people."

Nadiya Volodymyrivna Boyko
a person who brought advanced knowledge about the microbiome to Ukraine long before it became a global trend.
Working in the US in the field of molecular microbiology, she was at the origins of understanding how bacteria govern our health.

Upon her return, she founded the Research Center for Molecular Microbiology and Immunology of Mucosal Membranes at Uzhhorod National University. But science alone was not enough for her. Realizing that written articles do not directly treat people, she created the company Ediens — an ecosystem that transforms complex Omics technologies (genetics, metabolomics) into real products:
individual nutrition and pharmabiotics.
She is an expert at the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, but her main passion is patient-centered medicine, where symptoms are not treated, but the root cause is sought.

Philosophy and approach to health
1 / Holistic approach (Organism as a whole):
"We can't tear off our arms and legs and treat the gut separately, the head separately, or the skin separately. The skin is just a reflection of the internal state. The microbiome connects everything."
2 / The end of "blind" probiotic intake
Nadiya Boyko is categorically against taking probiotics "blindly" or preparations that contain 36 strains. She emphasizes: "It's like driving 36 more people into a club where everyone is sitting in their chairs. We don't throw something into the body without realizing what's already there. We have to preserve our own, unique microbiota of a person."
3 / From Probiotics to Pharmabiotics
It creates not just supplements, but pharmabiotics — drugs with clinically proven effects (cohort studies lasting 2-3 years) that specifically treat specific nosologies: from atopic dermatitis to diabetes and depression.
4 / Microbes dictate our eating behavior
It creates not just supplements, but pharmabiotics — drugs with clinically proven effects (cohort studies lasting 2-3 years) that specifically treat specific nosologies: from atopic dermatitis to diabetes and depression.
